Past Due Bills Can't Pay

I have past due bills that I don't have the money to pay. I wonder if the churches would help or the Salvation Army? I don't know if the Community Action Center would help or not? I tried to get another temp job, but I never heard from them after I had an interview. I don't have any money and the temp job I have now keeps cutting hours. I can't keep up with my bills then. My heating/electric bill is behind. My waterbill is behind, too. I have two loans on my house and I am trying to keep them up to date. Its hard to buy food when you don't have any money. Payday loans aren't a good idea, either.

Grants

I received all of these get grants for years,But they don't give grants to individuals, The grants are given to organizations, and foundations and charities, if you want to apply for help thats where you need to start or you can go to cfda catalog of federal domestic assistance .org you will find it is very hard to get any grant, you need a grant writer to get help. But you need money to make money,Their are grants for school and you don't have to pay them to get it just go to a college and ask for help, and they will tell you what you have to do. also their is the Federal Register, The Gsa I believe it's GSA.org

54 Years Old, No Work Experience. Where To Turn?

Hi,

My mother recently became a widow when we lost my father to Sepsis. He died suddenly and we were far from prepared. Due to financial hardships in the past, she was never able to purchase life insurance on him, and if it wasn't for her sister, would not have been able to even pay for his funeral.

She was living on his Disability checks, and now she has absolutely no income. She has an 8th grade education and no work experience. I've searched and searched and cannot find anything to help her. My husband and I live paycheck to paycheck and cannot do anything financially for her. I don't want my mom to lose her house, but I have run out of ideas.

We live in Mobile, AL. Can anyone make a suggestion? Her main concern is her mortgage. She owes about 5 grand on it, which isn't a lot, but might as well be a million when you have no money. She's so close to paying it off...

About bnd_mns

Hello-

I am twenty five a wife and a mother of three. For about a year and half now I have been struggling with anxiety/ severe panic attacks. I rush to the hospital frequently thinking that I am dying, and I pretty much afraid of everything out there. I want to badly to be my old self and a good mother to my children. I have been in threapy for about seven months and it has helped some, but I need something more intensive. I found a rehab type program to go to for help, but it cost 1500 dollars. Our insurance does not cover this and we don't have that kind of money just lying around. We have tried to get a loan, but in this economy these days we were denied. If anyone knows any programs or charities that I can contact to help pay. Please let me know. I am very desperate and I want so badly not to have to live in fear anymore.

Thank you

Nikki

Immediate Help

Thought I'd post this in case it helps anyone, it's nothing new - it's things I've seen around here on various pages, but I ran across it so thought it might help someone.

Immediate financial help is available for struggling families and those facing unexpected income loss, disability, disaster or other crisis. Most programs evaluate families to ensure that they qualify before offering assistance. In a financial downturn, more and more families look for financial help, but not all really need it. Here's how to get immediate financial help.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Evaluate your situation and compare your monthly projected income to your necessary expenses of housing, food, transportation and basic clothing. If you don't have enough to pay for these basics, you will likely qualify for immediate financial help. If there is a large amount of income going to things like credit cards, debt payments or other categories, you will need to cut spending there and work with debtors to lower your payments.

  2. Step 2

Contact your county or city human services. You can call 2-1-1 in most U.S. states to learn about immediate financial help options available to you.

  3. Step 3

Look for local branches of the Salvation Army, Catholic Charities and other national charity organizations to get immediate financial help to pay rent or mortgage, keep the lights on or buy food.

  4. Step 4

Inquire at local charities for immediate financial help. Civic organizations in your community often have funds to help those in need, but the amount will usually be very small due to smaller budgets.

  5. Step 5

Turn to churches and religious communities, especially those in wealthier areas, for immediate financial help.

  6. Step 6

Research specialized organizations and charities. They have smaller budgets but more specific goals, such as helping families of AIDS children, disabled union workers, writers association members or families of firefighters. If you fit on their category, you have a good chance of getting the immediate financial help you need.

how to find non-profit & charitable organizations in your area

Since 211 is still not available in all areas, here is another relatively easy way to locate assistance in your local area:

do a google map search for nonprofits/charitable organizations in your zip code:

    • go to google maps
    • type in your city and state
    • click on "search nearby" in the pop-up window
    • then type in "charitable & non-profit organizations"
    • The search will locate all non-profit organizations in your area with name, address, phone # and website (if available), plus directions, and distance from your location!

you can also use this to locate any other service or organization in or near your area....

    How cool is that?!

They conduct research; help with plans and putting the plan in action, guidance and coaching. 10% or all profits go into the dream maker program. Another 10% will go into the local community, church, or charity. What do I get with this program?1.Finacial counseling, relationship counseling, money management, savings plan, dream management plan, life coaching, team building, charity, a feeling of growth and accomplishment, loyalty, commitment, inspiration and much more…  money back guarantee. About sheena4u

I'm 54 living  in California most my life.  Married a wonderful guy and raised 3 children together. He got sick and we lost him about 4 years ago. I have worked some but mainly fully depended on my husband for support. Since we no longer have this great man in our lives, I've worked here and there and I am able to work but with enconomy these days it's been very hard to find a job of my knowledge. But, I am a fast learner, but my problem is my appearance smiling. I am loosing teeth like crazy and it has put a very bad toll on me. I don't want to go any where because of this looks really bad when ever I open my mouth. I've always been a very activity person and going places with the kids and now that I have this problem I just don't want to do anything or go any where with my grandbabies. Getting a job it seems like I am not going to be able to show the better happy go side of me. I am not receiving any type of income at this moment and have a mouth of pain. I am very scared of dentists and need to find someone who will help me put my trust in them. And not to mention the cost for repairs. I am a proud person but since I am so down and low I am having to put my pride to the side and see what it is I can do to make myself more confident. Thank you for reading my post and if you can be of assistance please direct me that way.
